Best Cold Coffee Drinks To Survive The Heat ☀️
With the summer weather already upon us we decided to curate a list of our favourite cold coffee drinks to keep you cool! ☀️
The infamous cold brew is a drink prepared from coffee extracted at a low temperature, the whole process of making cold brew will take 12-14 hours. The result in comparison to iced coffee is that you will end up with a very smooth and less acidic cup.
Here at Sippy we enjoy a stronger cup of coffee and recommend a 2:1 ratio of coffee to water. If you plan to add milk. Dilute the concentrate with a mix of water and milk!
C&T - Coffee & Tonic
Differently from the G&T, this refreshing coffee drink is perfect for the summer, the beautiful bitter note from the tonic really enhances the flavours and pleasant bitterness of coffee.
The most important part is to have good coffee and good tonic, normally any specialty coffee of your liking, light to medium roast.
Fill a glass with Ice cubes.
Add 100-150ml of your preferred tonic water
Add a double espresso - 40ml of coffee
*Additionally if we want to make it with cold brew add 60ml of cold brew
The coffee and the tonic you use will really affect the taste of the drink, so feel free to experiment with different tonics and coffee beans to achieve your favourite mix!
20 gm of coffee to make a 40 gm of espresso or a double shot of espresso .
Add ice cubes to a shaker and put the espresso in - If you need to add some sugar do it before adding the ice cubes.
Mix all well
Add a lot of ice into a tall glass - Serve and enjoy!
